Tourist dead after couple electrocuted in Mexico resort hot tub
A Texas man is dead after being electrocuted while sat in a resort community hot tub in Mexico.
A woman is also in a critical condition.
It happened last week at a private condo complex in Puerto Peñasco, which is just across the US-Mexico border south of Arizona.
Due to its proximity, the town is a popular short break destination for Americans.
Sonora state prosecutors said Jorge Guillen, 43, died ‘due to a possible electric discharge when both were inside the jacuzzi.’
Lizette Zambrano is in hospital in a critical condition.
The immediate aftermath was filmed and uploaded online.
It showed some people screaming in shock and one other attempting life-saving chest compressions.
