Tourist Dutch Prince tells Kiwi to mind his own business.
Reports from NZ say that Dutch Crown Prince Willem-Alexander left New Zealand onlookers bemused on Tuesday after telling a journalist with a friendly inquiry to mind his own business.
Willem-Alexander and his wife, Princess Maxima, were leaving a hotel in Queenstown, New Zealand’s tourism capital, after a three-day private visit ahead of the official programme.
A journalist asked the prince about his impressions of New Zealand.
“Mind your own business, it’s private,” was the curt reply, reported by Radio New Zealand.
One upset onlooker yelled “And don’t come back” after the departing motorcade.
The five-day official programme of the tour was due to start later on Tuesday with the royal couple to visit Wellington, Nelson, Christchurch and Auckland.
