Travel guide website adds new CRM tool
Word Travels Professional (http://pro.wordtravels.com), the subscription version of the online travel guide, has added a CRM tool to help travel agents improve client relationships and increase sales.
The Last-Minute Alert is an extension of the extensive travel guide through which agents can research destinations and email bespoke travel guides to their customers.
These customers also receive a Last-Minute Alert email a day before departure which displays a five-day weather forecast for their destination, along with reviews of upcoming events and festivals taking place during their visit and the latest travel advice and safety news (including any terrorism, hurricane and strike warnings).
The new tool can help encourage customers to book additional travel services such as insurance, foreign currency and car rental, according to Word Travels, which provides a version of its travel guide to Travelmole – http://travelmole.wordtravels.com – along with the travel reviews site – http://travelmole.myholidayreport.com.
Word Travels managing director Tom Pitman said: “Despite zero commissions and hot competition from the big travel websites, travel agents that provide an excellent service can still increase their sales and profit. Word Travels helps them provide them provide a personal service.”
A basic annual subscription to Word Travels costs £65. For more information or to sign up for a free trial, see: http://pro.wordtravels.com.
