Travel Insurance Facilities Group restructures Senior Management Team
Leading travel insurance services provider, Travel Insurance Facilities Group (“TIFâ€), has appointed Richard Smith to the position of Managing Director.
Richard’s promotion from the position of Underwriting and Commercial Director comes just over three years after he joined the Kent-based travel insurance specialist, which offers a range of services including underwriting, claims handling, administration, medical screening, medical assistance and repatriation.
Darryl Helliwell will be taking on a newly created role as Chief Executive of the Group.
Darryl Helliwell, Chief Executive of TIF Group, says, “The directors felt this is an ideal time to establish a new group management structure for the ongoing development of the company. Richard has played a prominent role in the groups recent company restructure and this gives us an ideal platform for continued future growth.â€

Richard’s travel insurance experience spans underwriting, claims, sales and marketing, medical screening, assistance and broking. Prior to joining TIF, he worked with Travel and General Insurance Brokers for two years and also spent four years with Inter Group Insurance Services.
