Travel job placements at decade high
More candidates were placed in new travel jobs than at any point in at least the last decade, according C&M Travel Recruitment and C&M Executive Recruitment.
March 2022’s total number of new travel placements was the highest seen since C&M’s reports began in January 2012 and was up by 22% from September 2016 – the index’s previous record number.
Last month’s total was up by 79% from February 2022.
More travel placements were made in March 2022 than in the previous two months of the year combined.
It was also a record month for new travel job vacancies.
March 2022’s total number of new travel vacancies was easily the highest seen in the past decade and was up by a huge 71% from January 2017 – the previous record month.
More new candidates registered for travel jobs in March than at any point since last July, with last month’s total rising by 14% per cent from February..
Barbara Kolosinska, Managing Director at C&M Travel Recruitment and C&M Executive Recruitment, said: “We’ve never seen a month like March.
“We’ve been recruiting for the travel industry since 1998 and we have never been busier – the industry is currently recruiting on a scale unlike anything we have ever seen before.”
