Travel and tourism shares suffered yesterday as London’s main equity indices dropped back. The FTSE 100 index fell 27.5 points to end the day at 4496.8, while the broader-based FTS 250 also had a tough time and lost 46.1 points to close at 6253.2. Even so, there were no drastic movements among industry shares – perhaps the biggest falls were at lastminute.com; down 10p to 218p, and Ebookers; down 15p to 450p.
