There were few bright spots among travel and tourism shares yesterday despite the fact that London’s equity markets managed to make small gains. The FTSE 100 index gained 21.2 points to end the day at 4354.2, while the FTSE 250 fell back 17.6 points to close at 5646.7. Lastminute.com had yet another painful day, falling 8.25p to close at 205.5p after two successive days in reverse. Ebookers, by way of contrast, moved ahead 15p to 390p.
