It was a distinctly mixed day for travel industry shares yesterday, on a session that saw London’s main indices move backwards. The FTSE 100 index dropped 0.6% in value, losing 27.3 points to close at 4327.4, while the broader-based FTSE 250 had a similar day, losing 29 points to end the day at 5682.8. Once again dealers were busy and traded 3.7 billion shares before the 6pm count.
