TravelManagers responds
A direct response to what it describes as “significant increases in levels of enquiries right across the country”, TravelManagers Australia has moved to appoint two new Business Development Managers in New South Wales and South Australia.
Announcing the appointments, TravelManagers General Manager, Don Beattie said the new BDMs – Rena Lombardi in South Australia and Jade Scott in New South Wales – would now take on immediate responsibility for the day to day running of the TravelManagers operation in their respective states.
A key focus of their activity, he said, would revolve around the identification of and assisting prospective TravelManagers in each state, collation of market intelligence and provision of support to existing TravelManagers.
TravelManagers’ nationally-spread BDM team now numbers five.
Adelaide-based Rena Lombardi, who has managed her own agency in South Australia for several years, brings more than 30 years industry experience to TravelManagers.
This includes a stint in Canada and the USA where she was involved in helping several companies develop agency networks and also performed ad hoc promotional duties for Tourism Australia in both countries.
Jade Scott comes to TravelManagers after cutting her teeth as a retail travel and corporate consultant with Flight Centres.
She will be based at TravelManagers’ Kent Street, Sydney, head office.
