TravelMole Mole Poll subscribers say no to overseas operations
With last week’s Mole Poll subscribers being asked the question, “Would you go overseas, e.g India or Thailand for an operation?”, a very significant 79% have responded that they would not and only 21% that they would.
The response may be a reflection of the high standards of the Australian medical system and the availability of surgery in Australia and also that it is not believed that any Australian medical insurers have insisted yet that patients go surgery overseas, as had happened in the USA, where if patients do not agree the insurer will not pay.
Interesting time ahead in the world of medical tourism!
