Travelodge to open 19 new hotels
Travelodge has announced plans to open 19 new hotels this year, with an investment value of £140 million.
The expansion is expected to create 450 new jobs and increase the company’s network to 542 hotels.
Four of the new hotels are in London and the chain will also open new leisure focused hotels in Poole, Weston-Super-Mare, Bicester and Thetford.
In addition to the 2016 openings, the company has identified 250 further locations for Travelodge development in the UK.
It has also signed new agreements to build and open hotels at: London Acton, London Wood Green and Oxford.
