Travelsphere to develop online distribution
Escorted tour operator Travelsphere is to introduce Comtec’s web-based Travelink tour operator sales and management system.
The new booking platform will be made available to more than 300 internal users and will also power the company’s travel websites.
The technology will include the Travelsphere, Page and Moy and Just You brands.
It has been acquired to provide more flexible booking services and to enable the company more efficiently introduce up-sell and cross-sell opportunities.
Group CEO Steve Foster said: “We’ve entered this long-term partnership with Comtec as we believe an upgraded technology platform is fundamental to our ambitious growth plans.
“Specifically, Travelink will help us to deliver our targeted operational efficiencies and to offer increased product choice and flexibility to further improve the high levels of service we provide. We’ll also be using Travelink to develop our online travel distribution activities.”
Comtec new business sales director Howard Frost said: “Travelink was first launched over 10 years ago and we’ve since undertaken an ongoing program of enhancements, based upon our customers and market needs.
“The agreement with Travelsphere is one of a number of new client announcements we’ll be making shortly.”
