Troubled Northwest suspend Gatwick route
KLM has confirmed it will honour all Northwest Airlines tickets from the UK after the carrier’s decision to suspend services between Gatwick and Minneapolis St Paul.
The Dutch airline said all Northwest bookings taken in the UK are automatically ticketed on its documents, ensuring passengers can still travel.
Northwest will indefinitely suspend the route from October 30 following a review of its international network. The troubled carrier, which has filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy, said its Gatwick to Detroit route would continue as usual.
Passengers due to travel to Minneapolis after October 30 will be re-booked on KLM’s service via Amsterdam.
