Truck crashes into Southwest Airlines plane at Baltimore
There were more plane woes for Southwest Airlines after a jet was damaged at Baltimore Airport.
Southwest flight 6263 had just landed from Fort Lauderdale when a pick-up truck suddenly crashed into its fuselage.
TV footage showed the vehicle partially wedged underneath the plane.
Passengers were still onboard the aircraft at the time and were assisted off the jet by airport fire crews.
"We had a very turbulent ride into [the airport]. Once we landed everything was going fine, but just as we pulled to the gate I heard a crunching sound," passenger Zuryna Smith told The New York Post.
The flight was carrying 172 passengers but no injuries were reported.
It is still unclear why the pick-up truck crashed into the jet.
The airline tweeted an apology and was ‘glad to hear everyone made it safely to BWI.’
Just hours later another Southwest Airlines flight was forced to make an unscheduled landing at Dallas-Fort Worth Airport.
Instruments indicated one of the flaps was not fully extended as it approached originally destination of Dallas Love Field Airport.
The pilot opted to land at DFW due to its longer runway.
It was met by emergency crews at DFW but landed without incident.
