TUI customers miss flight home because virus tests were late
TUI has confirmed that 17 of its customers at the H10 Costa Adeje Palace have flown home but others have been delayed for another day.
The operator confirmed it had seats available for all holidaymakers but 19 weren’t allowed to fly because the necessary tests for coronavirus were not completed in time.
They are due to fly home today (Tuesday) as long as they have received a certificate for a negative test.
Around 200 British holidaymakers have been at the hotel since last Tuesday after five Italian guests tested positive for COVID-19.
Jet2holidays initially said its customers would have to stay until March 10 but was granted permission to bring them home today, as long as they tested negative and showed no symptoms on departure.
A dedicated flight was chartered to bring them home yesterday.
