summer on the back of a claimed 64% rise in demand this year.
The TUI Travel UK operators have increased capacity for ten and 11 night durations by 21% for 2010.
The move reflects changing consumer demand for more flexible breaks away from the traditional seven and 14 nights away.
The companies said they were responding to “this clear need to adapt flexibility to suit the wants of consumers”.
“For too long, mainstream tour operators only offered seven or 14 night holidays abroad, with those looking for more flexibility obliged to go online to book the duration that suited them. But no more,” a statement said.
