TUI added 15 properties across eight countries to its portfolio in May, making it the strongest month for hotel openings.

New properties include concept hotel brands TUI Sensimar, TUI Family Life and TUI Sensatori as well as all-inclusive club brand TUI Magic Life, which opened three new resorts, including new properties in Bodrum and Tunisia (pictured).

Joint partners Riu and Atlantica have also expanded their portfolios.

TUI said its hotels and resorts, cruises and destination experiences are the operator’s key growth areas, already accounting for around 70% of group earnings.

More hotels will be added this summer and, overall, TUI is planning to open more than 20 new hotels of its hotel brands in eleven countries in Europe, Africa and Asia.
