Tunisia to launch new UK advertising campaign
Tunisia is planning a new UK advertising campaign following the relaunch of holiday flights this month.
The tourist board has appointed strategic marketing and advertising agency Fox Kalomaski Crossing to execute the campaign.
Fox was behind marketing campaigns launched by Thailand, Western Australia and the Bahamas as well as travel brands Netflights, Qantas, Travelbag and Titan.
A tourist board spokeswoman confirmed there would be a new advertising campaign, but said it was still in the planning stages so no further details are available at the moment.
Wahida Jaiet, who has returned to the UK as director of the Tunisian National Tourist Office, said: "We are fully aware of the challenge ahead but we are ready for it. We shall work closely with our trade and media partners and look forward for a steady and sound return of Brits to Tunisia."
Jaiet, who was previously director of the TNTO in London from 2011 to 2014, replaced Mounira Derbel Ben Cherifa earlier this month.
Thomas Cook became the first major tour operator to re-launch flights to Tunisia last week. TUI will re-launch its programme on May 1.
