Turkish Airlines flight attendant arrested for bomb threats
After a series of recent bomb threats on Turkish Airlines’ flights, authorities have arrested an alleged culprit – one of the carrier’s own flight attendants.
The Turkish Airlines flight attendant was detained and is accused of writing at least one of the bomb threat notes found aboard.
Police said they are investigating whether the employee was responsible for any of the other recent threats.
Since March, four Turkish Airlines’ flights have been diverted or delayed due to bomb scares, all of which turned out to be hoaxes.
The employee has not yet been named but the airline confirmed he or she had been fired.
