Turkish Airlines ramps up UK flights
Turkish Airlines has boosted flight frequencies to and from the UK and Ireland for the summer season.
The flag carrier has added two more weekly flights to Istanbul from London Heathrow to 47 weekly flights.
The Manchester-Istanbul route increases from 25 to 28 weekly services, and London Gatwick increases by two to 28 weekly flights.
Turkish Airlines’ Edinburgh-Istanbul service gets four more a week to 14 weekly flights, and there are three more weekly frequencies to Dublin.
Birmingham see four additional weekly flights to Istanbul.
“Demand from holidaymakers in the UK and Ireland t remains strong year-round and peaks during the summer. We’re increasing capacity to meet this demand and offer more flexibility,” said Harun Basturk, SVP Sales at Turkish Airlines:
This week the airline celebrated a new record number of daily flights.
It had 1,369 scheduled departures in a single day, CEO Bilal Eksi said.
