AirAsia and its boss Tony Fernandes have collected more awards following the presentation of the 5th Annual Budgies World Low Cost Airlines Awards in London.
AirAsia won best low cost airline and Fernandes was named CEO of the Year.
Spanish budget carrier Vueling also picked up two awards.
Navitaire won the Best Ancillary Revenue Innovation award for innovations including intelligent seating (allowing airlines to attached attributes in the sale and marketing of seat selection); Wheels Up (revenue accounting providing accurate real time business information to airlines the moment the aircraft pushes back) and GoNow (integrated airport retail and check in suite that enhances airport electronic interfaces options).
The awards were made at the World Low Cost Airlines Congress, organised by Terrapinn
