Two big green autumn events unveiled
Plus green destinations reminded to get applications in for top100 by 17 July
Responsible tourism festival of migrants and travelers will be held in Rimini this September and it will include a Green Destinations day on 22 September. The IT.A.CÁ Green Destinations Day Italy.
It is part of the Global Green Destinations Days initiative, which will be held in several destinations that are part of the Green Destinations community. Rimini will be the host city in Italy with a rich programme, including:
- International Conference
- Best practices examples
- Green Destination Networking Meeting
- Student Forum

And in Cascais Portugal – don’t miss the world’s largest sustainable destinations event of the year! Dedicated to Storytelling and Showcasing Sustainable Tourism Successes, by Top 100 Sustainable Destinations and global destination leaders.
GREENFEST is a large public event on sustainability, attracting 4000-6000 visitors daily. One of the topics of the 2017 edition is "Green Travel". The event is held in the Estoril Conference Centre (ECC) in Cascais.

2017 Sustainable Destinations TOP100 – Final call for nomination
For the third time the Sustainable Destinations Top 100 competition is organised by Green Destinations in cooperation with 20 other international organisations for sustainable tourism. The aim of the competition is to highlight success stories in destination management, and to exchange good practices between destinations. Selection involves formal nomination by destination ambassadors and evaluation by a panel of ca. 100 international experts. The deadline for the registration is on the 17th July.
