Two new cruises aboard Queen Mary 2 for summer 2009
On August 11, cruise specialist Reader Offers announced promotional fares on two new 2009 no-fly short cruises aboard the Queen Mary 2 with introductory fares beginning at £495 per person and complimentary upgrades from an outside cabin to balcony accommodation.
The first cruise is 8-nights ‘Iberian Odyssey’ voyage which departs Southampton on July 12, 2009. The itinerary cherry picks beautiful French and Spanish destinations as the ships sails to Cherbourg, Lisbon, Vigo, Bilbao, La Rochelle and Brest before heading home to Southampton. Reduced prices for this voyage start at £795pp for an inside stateroom, and £999pp for an oceanview stateroom.
Also available is a 4-nights ‘Gallic Gateways’ cruise which departs on July 20, 2009 from Southampton, sailing to Zeebrugge, Rotterdam, and Cherbourg. This voyage offers passengers the opportunity to experience Cunard service from £495 for an inside stateroom and £799 for an oceanview stateroom.
The facilities aboard the Queen Mary 2 include the Canyon Ranch Spa, home to one of eight Jacuzzi’s onboard. There is a vast choice of restaurants, bars and lounge areas, and entertainment which includes ‘Illuminations’, the world’s only planetarium at sea.
