Two new industry events

Sunday, 16 Feb, 2004 0

Two events are coming up that are being run for the first time and cater for specific sectors of the travel industry – the first is hospitality and the second conferencing. The inaugural Tourism and Hospitality Skills Conference is taking place on 24 and 25 February in Bristol. The theme for the event is to agree a strategy for developing skills in the hospitality industry. The event is being organised jointly by the Tourism Skills Networks for the north west and south west with the support of their respective Regional Development Agencies. The event incorporates workshops and will be opened with a speech by the Minister for Sports and Tourism, Richard Caborn. For more details go to the website. Ireland wants to boost its profile as a conference venue. The inaugural event, sponsored by Business and Finance magazine, seeks to showcase Ireland as a conference venue. It is taking place on 29 and 30 March in Dublin. You can register for the event online. The conference promises to highlight the best venues in Ireland and save anyone involved in conference planning hours of research. The seminar programme is yet to be confirmed.
