Two ways to cheaper stays at Accor

Sofitel is offering discounts to agents who secure bookings for the luxury hotel brand.

The new scheme, called “challenge your emotions”, is launching this month, and will run for six months.

Once agents have registered on the dedicated website, they will earn points for every room night booked at a Sofitel hotel through a GDS or call centre. Agents can double the points they earn if they make a booking at one of ten “bonus hotels”, which change each month. The bonus hotels for January include the Sofitel St James in London.

At the end of six months, points are tallied and agents receive up to ten Sofitel gift vouchers, worth 200 euros each, which can be used at Sofitel hotels and restaurants.

Agents don’t have to take part in the scheme to get discounts at Accor hotels, the parent of Sofitel. The French chain has launched a scheme that offers agents up to 75 percent off hotels in the chain. This includes Libertel, Novotel, Mercure and Sofitel.

The discount depends on on the time of year and availability, and applies to a maximum of two rooms per reservation. A business card must be presented on arrival at the hotel.
