United Airlines shows off new aircraft livery
United Airlines has revealed its new updated livery, moving away from the familiar gold color for a more prominent blue.
It features three shades of blue – rhapsody blue, united blue and sky blue which it says is a visual representation of United’s ongoing brand evolution by bringing a more modern energy.
The iconic globe logo remains on the aircraft tail.
The first aircraft to get the new design is a Boeing 737-800, and will be followed by paint jobs for narrowbody, widebody and regional aircraft through the year.
"Each improvement we’ve added to our service advances our evolution as an airline, furthering our effort to elevate and redefine customer service in the sky," says United CEO, Oscar Munoz.
The new design features the core colors from United’s modernized brand palette which was introduced last year.
The tagline ‘Connecting people. Uniting the world’ will also be painted near the door of each aircraft.
United aircraft receive an updated livery design every seven years on average.
