United passenger traffic at record high
United Airlines flew more people than ever before: a record 180 million customers.
The airline also operated more flights with and an average of 4,340 a day.
United said it also achieved the second-best on-time performance nationally among the eight largest US airlines.
It had three of its best on-time months ever in February, September and October, United said.
The 180 million people it carried in 2024 is the most ever and flew 16 million customers in December alone.
During the holidays United said it carried a record 539,000 people per day on average.
