Valentine’s Day in Loveland, Colorado
With Valentines Day just around the corner, only one place will do – Loveland, Colorado.
Everyone’s favorite celebration of all-things love is back for the 2023 season. They’ll be hearts, great food, music and much more. At Loveland Sweetheart Festival
This year’s festival has a number of great additions. Here are five new heart-warming reasons to experience it.
- The Love has Spread
We just couldn’t contain all the awesome Sweetheart events to the Foundry Plaza as we could in previous years. This year, the activities are across all of downtown Loveland. From the Arts Alive Block on Fourth Street to the Loveland Museum and from deskchair to Loveland Aleworks, you’ll find no shortage of music, art, family fun, food, beer, and love.
- More Entertainment
With more venues come more opportunities to jam out all across town. As well as the Foundry Plaza, the Rialto Theater, Loveland Museum, Loveland Aleworks, Artworks Center for Contemporary Art, and deskchair Coworking space will all feature live music acts. In addition you’ll be able to take in standup comedy and even a burlesque show.
- Art everywhere
Art is a mainstay for Loveland and the Sweetheart Festival is no exception. You can find art at pretty much all the venues, but Fourth Street is a real hotspot. During the festival, Fourth Street transforms into “Arts Alive”. See live demonstrations and the return of ice sculpting, raku pottery and even create your own by painting a tile for the free community mural. You can even find create-your-own Valentine and post card stations.
- Variety of Vendors
Across Cleveland from the Arts Alive block on Fourth is the Valentine Flea Art market, which runs from Cleveland to Railroad Ave and down to Artworks Center for Contemporary Art. There, you will find one and a half blocks full of great artisans ready to share quality one-of-a-kind creations. There will be more food and drink offerings than ever before. Many of the local businesses that call downtown home will have great deals in honor of the festival.
- Projection Mapping Light Show
Projection mapping offers creativity in using light in small or large environments. Mapping can completely cover irregular shapes, objects, and even entire building facades. Unlike many light shows you’ve seen; a projection mapping light show is custom produced with a number of stunning visual effects! Waveform.exp, one of Colorado’s premiere experiential projection mapping providers, has created a customized show set to music which will be projected onto the Elks Lodge building. The shows run every half hour beginning at 5:30pm each day of the festival.
These are just five of the many reasons to make the 2023 Sweetheart Festival part of your plans for the weekend. The Sweetheart Festival has something for everyone this year as we celebrate the love and the 2023 Valentine’s Season.
