Victoria based Global Travel hits the wall
Formerly known as Eliza Travel, Global Travel Corporation, run by Tony Wilson, has been placed into receivership.
Conjecture about the company’s stability and viability has been rife over recent weeks and months, with the company also withdrawing from TCF last year, because Wilson did not believe it was necessary for his company to be member
Wilson also recently placed the business on the market and he told the Mole recently that he had substantial interest from potential purchasers.
Wilson also commented to The Mole recently that a charge over the assets of Global for $165,000 lodged with ASIC against Global by German motorhome rental company McRent, was a normal part of doing business.
The business will continue to trade while the receivers secure a buyer.
