Vietjet adding new Phu Quoc routes
Vietnam’s biggest budget carrier Vietjet is ramping up capacity to island hotspot Phu Quoc.
It plans to launch two new routes and increase flight frequencies by the end of this year.
Two new domestic routes linking Dan Nang and Van Don will launch along with international services from Chongqing and Chengdu in China.
The China routes will operate three times a week from the end of 2019.
Existing flights to Hong Kong and Seoul Incheon will be boosted to six flights a week and 14 flights a week respectively to meet demand for Phu Quoc’s winter peak season.
Phu Quoc is one of Southeast Asia’s fastest growing beach destinations, and has been served by the airline since 2012.
The carrier also flies to Phu Quoc from Hanoi, Hai Phong and Ho Chi Minh City
