Virgin Australia CFO standing down
The chief financial officer of Virgin Australia is to depart his post in September, the airline said.
Sankar Narayan is leaving after four years and will take up a similar position with New Zealand-based accounting software group Xero.
Narayan has previously served as CFO in a number of major companies including Astro All Asia Networks, Fairfax Media, Rural Press, Foxtel and Shopfast.
"Sankar has made a significant contribution to the group over the past four years, including building a strong financial operating platform, spearheading the company’s transition to a single reservation system and designator code," Virgin chief executive John Borghetti said.
Virgin said executive general manager of group finance Geoff Smith will become chief financial officer on an interim basis.
