Virgin Blue and Sabre Pacific Sign Expanded Agreement
Sabre Pacific and Virgin Blue Airlines have signed an expanded multi-year distribution agreement which will enable Sabre Connected agencies to better service clients.
Sabre Connected agencies will benefit from new functionality including interline electronic ticketing. This will enable agents to issue international e-tickets that include Virgin Blue.
The agreement makes more fares available to Sabre Connected travel agents and corporations world-wide. These include Corporate Plus and interline fare initiatives offered at the same rate as on Virgin Blue’s website and free of fare surcharges. It allows Virgin to efficiently and broadly distribute fares for its operations in Australia, and Pacific Blue operations in New Zealand and the South Pacific.
“This is great news for Sabre agencies,” said Gai Tyrrell chief executive officer of Sabre Pacific. “It is part of our on-going commitment to put the agent back into travel.”
