Visit London recruits hotel sales chief
Former Millennium & Copthorne Hotels sales and marketing vice-president for EMEA Tracy Halliwell is to join Visit London.
She will head its business sales and convention services team as head of business and conventions from February.
Halliwell said: “With the 2012 Olympic Games coming to London, this is a fantastic moment for the city. London is a world-class capital and its offering looks set to improve further as new services and facilities come on stream in the run up to 2012.”
Visit London commercial director David Hornby said: “Tracy’s previous roles, which included a period as director of sales & marketing for Forte London, and a posting in Los Angeles heading up sales for the Americas with Le Meridien; her knowledge of the meetings and incentive market and of the London product; and her leadership skills, will be a great asset to the Visit London team and help us to drive growth for London.”
