Visit Orlando brings the sunshine to London

Friday, 24 Jan, 2024 0

Amid storms battering all parts of the UK, Visit Orlando has a timely reminder that ‘Winter Doesn’t Exist’ in sunny Central Florida.

The official tourism marketing agency for the theme park capital is unveiling an interactive heated Orlando mural in London from now through early March 2024.

Until 3 March, an Orlando-inspired mural will be located on 83 Redchurch Street in Shoreditch, London.

Passers-by can enter to win a trip to Orlando by posing for a photo made to look like they are floating down a lazy river enjoying a sunny Orlando day.

They then need to submit it through the VisitOrlando.com prize draw page.

The prize draw will include:

Five-day/four-night stay for the winner and three guests at Evermore Orlando Resort, Orlando’s first-ever beach paradise with 20 acres of beaches.

Return tickets from London Gatwick Airport to Orlando International Airport for the winner and three guests, provided by Norse Atlantic Airways.

One full-size rental vehicle from Enterprise Rent-A-Car for up to five days.

$2,000 gift card for use at selected theme parks, attractions and other Orlando experiences.

The Wall of Warm also offers visitors the chance to literally warm up.

Between 1 pm and 8 pm daily, heaters will be placed on the top of the mural for everyone to enjoy.

“The Wall of Warm activation will help keep Orlando top of mind in the UK during a month when Brits will likely be looking to escape the cold,” said Casandra Matej, president & and CEO of Visit Orlando.

“Our destination — where winter doesn’t exist — is brimming with new experiences.”

The mural image showcases experiences across the destination, including rollercoasters and a waterslide equipped with a rubber ring, offering the perfect photo opp.

The caption, ‘Feel the warmth of Orlando from here,’ appears alongside Visit Orlando branding.

Additional elements of the Winter Doesn’t Exist campaign in the UK run through February, including targeted digital and social media activities and high-impact OOH advertising placements.

The campaign’s call-to-action drives consumers to Visit Orlando’s UK website for travel inspiration, information on theme parks, things to do and see, and more.
