For the first time ever readers of Travel+Leisure Australia magazine are able to vote in the world’s largest travel awards, the World’s Best Awards 2008.
The eagerly awaited, annual awards are the most influential and independent travel accolades in the world and 2008 heralds the first time that readers from international editions of Travel+Leisure magazine (Australia + New Zealand, USA, India, South-East Asia, Turkey and Mexico) will be able to register their votes online to determine the winners. The combined readership is nearly five million consumers around the globe.
The World’s Best Awards are a gauge of the preferences, tastes and habits of sophisticated travelers – Travel+Leisure readers; and the survey results provide valuable insight into the destinations and products world travelers hold in high regard and what they’re looking for from a holiday experience.
Anthony Dennis, editor, Travel+Leisure Australia said: “Never before have so many readers of our magazine around the world been able to vote for their favourite city, island, hotel, airline or cruise line.
Our readers in Australia and New Zealand will join millions of other discerning travelers in awarding the crème de la crème.
These awards are the most anticipated and respected around, and Australia’s tourism and travel industry acknowledges them as accurately reflecting trends on a global scale.â€
