Voyages offers second Best Job in the World
SYDNEY – With just seven days to go before the winner of Tourism Queensland’s Best Job in the World campaign is announced, Voyages believes it has the Second Best Job in the World on Lizard Island.
Voyages Lizard Island is recruiting for a resort general manager, a role that has been held by just a few lucky people over the years.
Tourism Queensland has attracted thousands of applications for its offer of a six-month caretaker’s stint on Hamilton Island in the Great Barrier Reef.
Said a spokeswoman for Voyages, “Far from being a short-term contract for just six months, this is a real job, with real career progression – and yes, a lovely two-bedroom house overlooking the Great Barrier Reef.â€
Guy Heywood, Voyages group general manager Voyages Signature Properties said, “As far as offices go, this isn’t bad. And if the next week’s winner of Tourism Queensland’s campaign claims to have the Best Job, then this must surely come a close second.â€
Keen snorkellers and divers should apply – Lizard Island has some of the best diving in the world, with a variety of outstanding dive sites including the world-famous Cod Hole.
