W and Leading step up in luxury

Sunday, 01 Jun, 2004 0

The W Hotels this month and The Leading Hotels of the World, Ltd., both announced new luxury offerings.

The 19 W Hotels are introducing what they call “Wonderland Programming…an evolution to a global lifestyle affinity.”

The hotels are adding new lighting, new scents and such amenities as surprise gifts at check-in.

The “Wonderland” experience will offer such events as cocktail parties, cooking classes and restaurant tours, upgraded wireless internet access, and a welcome mat for pets.

The new program was created jointly by W’s in-house team and RDA, its ad agency of record.

Leading Hotels of the World launched its “Out of this World” offer that includes accommodations in member hotels’ most expensive and elaborate suites.

New offerings include private concerts by world-renowned musicians, dinners personally prepared by internationally acclaimed chefs, private rounds of golf with famous players and butler-served lunch in the heart of the rain forest, among others.
