Wanted: room for a dog
Luxury room requests turn up some unusual items: rooms for dogs, milk baths and complaints to halt the noise from the ocean.
As part of their “91 days of the summer promotion,” Great Hotels of the World" revealed some of the more unusual requests made at their member hotels. Some of them:
—Could I drink my bathwater, one guest asked. He had just had a bath.
—A well-known American singer asked that three holes be made in the bed sheets before she could sleep in them.
—Another guest asked where she might go shopping in the middle of the night. She asked that shops be open at 2 a.m. for her convenience.
