Warner Bros’ USD1 billion Abu Dhabi theme park to open in July
Warner Bros’ $1 billion new theme park in the UAE has finally revealed its opening date.
The world’s first Warner Bros indoor theme park will officially open in Abu Dhabi on July 25.
A partnership with Warner Bros and Miral, the park has six themed lands featuring a host of iconic characters from superheroes Superman, Batman, Wonder Woman to Bugs Bunny, Tom and Jerry, and the Flintstones.
"It gives us great pride to have partnered with Warner Bros to launch the world’s largest Warner Bros branded indoor theme park right here in Abu Dhabi. We are thrilled that fans will be able to enjoy the outcome of this partnership and the massive, fun and engaging park offerings in a few months," said Mohammad Khalifa Al Mubarak, chairman of the department of culture and tourism of Abu Dhabi, and chairman of Miral.
"The launch of Warner Bros World Abu Dhabi is yet another milestone in the emirate’s journey to further enrich its tourism offering, and help establish it as one of the world’s leading tourist destinations."
The park features 29 rides and all but two have no age or height restrictions and there will be nine live shows taking place in the park each day.
"We have worked tirelessly with our partners at Miral to faithfully bring iconic franchises such as DC Entertainment, Looney Tunes and Hanna-Barbera to life in a truly immersive and authentic environment," said Pam Lifford, president of Warner Bros Consumer Products.
