Weddings on board Concorde?
Thought you’d heard the last of Concorde? Not by a long shot, it seems – the legendary jet could now become a wedding venue, according to reports. Today’s Daily Express states that the very last Concorde to fly, now based at Filton, near Bristol, could be used to raise funds for a new aerospace museum where it will eventually be housed. According to the newspaper, guests at weddings would sit in the jet’s famous leather seats to watch ceremonies. The Express quotes Oliver Dearden, curator of the Bristol Aero Collection, which will run the museum when it is built. He reportedly said that he is currently inquiring about a wedding licence, adding: “We would have to limit the numbers to 40 to stop it being overused and to make sure everyone gets a view.”
