Wendy Wu confirms group CEO has left
Wendy Wu Tours has confirmed that its group chief executive Joe Karbo has left the business.
Karbo joined as CEO in 2016 and later took on the additional role of acting managing director for the UK business in 2017, a post which was permanently filled by Glen Mintrim from STA last week.
In July 2018, Karbo also took up a one-year post as managing director of the Australia business. Wendy Wu, the company’s founder and chairwoman, said in a statement: "As the company’s chief executive role has been restructured, it was agreed by mutual decision that Joe would leave the business.
"We thank Joe for all his hard work, dedication and the innovations he has brought to the business."
Wendy Wu Tours is recruiting for a managing director for its Australian division which will be managed in the interim by the senior leadership team in Australia with the support of the global office.
