WestJet agrees interline arrangement with Copa Airlines
Canadian airline WestJet has inked a new interline partnership with Copa Airlines.
The pact will streamline passenger journeys across both carriers’ networks.
The interline agreement enables WestJet passengers to book through travel to 37 Copa Airlines destinations across Central and South America via WestJet’s new route Panama City.
In addition, Copa Airlines guests can access WestJet services across North American.
John Weatherill, WestJet EVP and Chief Commercial Officer, said: “Building on our new direct service from Calgary to Panama City, this new interline partnership agreement will increase access to destinations across Central and South America for Canadian travelers.”
“We remain focused on connecting guests to the world’s most popular sun and leisure destinations this winter.”
WestJet launches the new service to Panama City on December 13, 2025.
The route operates four times weekly this winter.
WestJet guests are able to book a single ticket for onward travel in Central and South America on the Copa Airlines’ network with through-checked bags to the final destination.
