What are the risks of a road trip home to see the family?
"I didn’t look at our drive as a vacation or a trip," says Christy Frank, who drove 10 hours to her hometown of Tiffin, Ohio. "We were just trying to get across the state to do exactly what we were doing at home, but at my parents’ house."
Not all road trips are for leisure purposes. Some people are traveling to see the family and foregoing rest stops and side trips. Long car trips across multiple states still pose risks even without rest stops where other people congregate. This is how some road trippers planned out their journey.
