Windstar unveils new Canary Islands itineraries
Next winter from November 2026 Windstar Cruises is charting a new course through the Canary Islands.
It marks Wind Spirit’s debut in the Canary Islands for a season of warm-weather cruises.
The new nine-night voyages will explore a quieter, more authentic side of the island chain, the cruise line says
Windstar debuts in the region at the end of 2025.
The yacht-style sailings will also introduce first-ever visits to Porto Santo and El Hierro.
Porto Santo in Portugal was once home to Christopher Columbus.
El Hierro features a UNESCO Global Geopark with hiking trails and lava rock pools.
“We’re always looking to craft new itineraries that show off the authentic heart of a destination, and these updated Canary Islands voyages do just that,” said Jess Peterson, director of destination experience & itinerary planning.
The shore excursion programme includes unique activities such as camel rides on Lanzarote, a toboggan run in Madeira and stargazing in La Palma.
Guests can also extend their trip with a Star Collector Voyage (13+ nights) or a Madrid Cruise Tour.
Through 31 August 2025, Windstar Cruises has an early booking offer with a complimentary all-inclusive experience.
Valued at more than £500 per stateroom on a seven-day cruise, the package features Wi-Fi, unlimited select wine, beer and cocktails, and gratuities.
There is also an onboard credit of up to $200 per stateroom, good for shore excursions, treatments at World Spa by Windstar and other amenities.
