Wizz Air to fly from Coventry
Low-cost airline Wizz Air is launching flights from Coventry Airport next year.
The largest no-frills airline in Central and Eastern Europe, it will operate a three times weekly (Wednesday, Friday, Sunday) service to Katowice, the capital of South Poland, from July 28 using an 180 seater Airbus A320 aircraft.
Alan Robinson, the airport’s chief executive officer, said “Coventry and the West Midlands region has strong historical links with Poland and a service to Katowice will be great news for the Polish community, businesses and leisure travellers”
