Wuhan flush with toilet guides
WUHAN: If you’re ever caught short in Wuhan, and can’t find a toilet in a hurry, the local Chinese authorities have the answer.
Step forward your friendly toilet guide, eager to point you in the direction of your nearest WC.
Wuhan has reportedly hired at least 10 toilet guides. They are distinguishable by their red armbands.
The guides can earn up to US$1.30 a day, by patrolling the city centre and local scenic spots.
But there will be no free pees in Wuhan. The service costs 3 jiao (US3.8 cents) per time.
Still on a water theme, a man and a woman who fell about 50 feet from a cruise ship in the Gulf of Mexico were believed to have been re-enacting the love scene from the film, Titantic.
The 22-year-old man and 20-year-old woman had only minor injuries after toppling from a balcony on the Grand Princess, said a spokeswoman for Princess Cruises.
They asked that the circumstances of the fall remain private and requested that no personal information be released.
