Wyndham expanding Ramada brand across China
Wyndham Hotels & Resorts will add five Ramada brand hotels in China by the end of the quarter.
Three have already opened – Ramada by Wyndham Luoyang Downtown, featuring 142 rooms, the 191-room Ramada by Wyndham Jianyang and the 140-room Ramada by Changsha Wuguang.
Later this month Ramada by Wyndham Wuhan Qingshan opens.
With the coronavirus epicentre of Wuhan now open, the 101-room hotel is gearing up to welcome guests with a range of amenities including two restaurants, meeting facilities, and free Wi-Fi.
Ramada by Wyndham Kunming Yiliang also opens before the end of June with 179 rooms, comprising two restaurants, meeting facilities, a pool and spa.
Domestic travellers will be the primary target market.
"As travel in China continues to pick up, Wyndham and its brands are well poised to meet the budding demand. People are eager to travel again, and Chinese travellers in particular are seeking domestic destinations more than ever," said Joon Aun Ooi, Wyndham president for Asia Pacific.
"These new openings under Ramada by Wyndham further strengthen our presence in key cities that we know are important to Chinese travellers."
