Wyndham Hotel Group says it is on track to reach 2,000 hotels open in China by the end of 2019.

Wyndham currently has the largest presence in China of any US-based hotel company with more than 1,300 hotels.

To meet this target Wyndham will introduce two new brands to China – the midscale Wingate by Wyndham and urban lifestyle brand TRYP.

That would take the number of brands open or under development in Chiina to 11.

"With inbound travelers taking more than 138 million trips in 2016 alone, China continues to offer incredible opportunities, and with our broad portfolio of globally recognized brands, Wyndham is uniquely positioned to take advantage," said Wyndham’s China president and managing director Leo Lui.

The company also announced another major milestone of 50 million global members of guest loyalty program Wyndham Rewards.
