Yahoo and Google Free Web Mail Storage going up
Yahoo announced that users of its free web mail service will receive one gigabyte of storage space starting late next month.
The company also added several enhancements to its web mail including better security and a search function. email features including better virus cleaning and scanning along with a search function.
“The global roll-out will begin in late April, which will make Yahoo! Mail the largest e-mail provider to deliver 1 GB of storage space for free to consumers worldwide,” Yahoo said.
Yahoo’s paid web mail users will enjoy 2 GB of storage space and the ability to send attachments up to 20 MB in size.
Rivals Google already offer 1 GB of storage space on its Gmail while Microsoft’s Hotmail has a 250 MB storage allocation for users.
