Youtravel.com goes Greek

Saturday, 21 Jun, 2007 0

Accommodation-only specialist youtravel.com has opened a version of its site in Greece.

The move follows expansion into Germany and Italy earlier this year and plans to enter Scandinavia and other European countries.

The company has offices in three Italian cities, Trieste, Rome and Milan, as well as its head office in Athens and UK base in Woking, Surrey.

The Greek site features deals for the local market, priced in euros, and has specific marketing plans aligned for the region.

International sales and marketing director Ian Coyle said: “Youtravel.com is aiming to become the leading pan-European online resort accommodation-only company and thanks to our ambitious growth strategy we are well on track.

“We have plans to launch in Scandinavia within the new few weeks and other European locations are to follow later in the year.”

Meanwhile, Youtravel.com founder and chief executive John Kent has been appointed as an honorary Visiting Senior Fellow at Surrey University’s School of Management.
